I Can't Believe It

Dustin wrote this on his Facebook profile. I'm still so upset by the whole thing that I can't put it into words.
"Lainey woke up from her nap with an unspeakable need to use the bathroom, but her blood sugar was low and she was not thinking clearly enough to go sit on the toilet. Instead she began peeing her pants in the kitchen leaving a generous puddle. Then, before finishing she ran through the hall and into our bedroom leaving a trail of urine and a second puddle in the carpet next to our bed. It was fun to clean up."
We've never experience a confused low like this before. It totally threw me for a loop.
(SIGH) Diabetes...

Total sigh...I'm sorry.
Low's are a crazy thing. But she is better now, and that is what matters.

Oh wow. scary! That's how syd acted when she had a low and a seizure last december. Diabetes is so frustrating. We are doing shots for a week until we can get pump issues worked out. Sigh with you...diabetes.

OOh Poor sweetie. Mattie has seizures like that a lot... she has epilepsy too, and sometimes we don't know what seizure she is having.

We have experienced very confused low's, and she is 11 and has wet in class, or home. It is very difficult to watch, sometimes she won't know who we are for a bit. She will recognize my voice, but not my face.

This diabetes won't beat any of us, we have eachother to know that were not alone in ALL of this.

Keep up the good work!
