2010 JDRF WALK TO CURE DIABETES

How appropriate that my 100th post on this blog is about the JDRF WALK!
I was the committee member in charge of accumulating items for the raffle. I was very pleased with the amount and types of items that were donated.

One of our volunteer's made this banner of some of the local kiddos.

Setting up the balloon arch.
Great job Shannon and Wendy!

The Registration Table

Shamae, Me, Shannon
Stacey, and Wendy

Me, Suzy, and Suzy's sis-in-law Kim

Katy, Trish, Manny, Me
Laura (Executive Director of JDRF Utah Chapter)

I met a Facebook D-Mom for the first time: Natalie Hawkins and her type 1 daughter Oakley.

Cutting the ribbon at the starting line.

Wendy and Shannon carefully moving the balloon arch to the finish line.

Lainey and Saylor playing in the leftover ice. Saylor's mom is Jamie Nielsen, who is another Facebook and Blog D-Mom. They had the best t-shirts!

I'm glad you found the blankets! I drove in at 12:30 the night before and snuck them in your car. I was afraid Dusty might come out with a shot gun and take me down thinking I was breaking into your car.

So glad your walk went well! I am thinking about being on the committee for next years walk. I have seen some really cool ideas on my D Mamas blogs that I would love to start at ours.

I can´t believe how many items you got for auction! How could anyone say no to you and to this great cause? Thanks for being so involved in getting funding for the research, and supporting other parents. We all need support. You are amazing!
