Went to the Gym

My husband and I regularly exercise at the YMCA. We love that place because they provide child care for our kids. Our girls love it too and continually ask to go "eck-er-size". Today was no different; I took the girls to the Y.

While I was running on the treadmill two ladies came in. They hung up their coats and were getting ready for their workout. One of the ladies turned and I saw this on her hip:

She was wearing an insulin pump! I would've jumped off my treadmill to say hi, but as fate would have it, she got on the machine next to mine. I told her I noticed her pump and would like my daughter to meet her. This lady was so bubbly and happily consented to my request.

After meeting Lainey, and talking for a few minutes, I learned that Dancia is a reporter for the local news station. How cool is that? She moved here recently from California so I didn't recognize her. I told her about the JDRF Walk in September and she said, "Oh yeah, I'll definitely cover that event."
