SuperNanny

Did anyone watch SuperNanny on Friday night? I caught a few clips of it here and there. The family had a 5 year old son with Type 1. He was a very defiant child, who wouldn't eat when his blood sugar was low. The parents pitied him when he was first diagnosed, that they failed to discipline him when needed. So now he ruled the house. The other children felt neglected because the parents were so focused on the 5 year old.
Here's the clip if you care to watch it.

often times that happens when you have more than one child and said child has diabetes and is t1 . I think alot of folks that have kids with chronic illnesses often forget they have other children .

I'm hoping my shift slows down this evening so I can see some of it!

When Addy used to be low, she wouldn't eat either, but it wasn't because she was defiant...it was because she was confused and unable to comprehend that I was trying to help her, not hurt her by forcing her to eat.

I hope this episode didn't punish the kid for the way his body reacted to lows!!!!!
