2009 JDRF WALK to Cure Diabetes

Our 2009 JDRF WALK to Cure Diabetes was September 12. A big THANK YOU to all those who made donations. Our team raised $1,225 towards finding a cure.
Our faithful volunteers--I was excited to be a part of your group this year.
(The following pictures are in no particular order.)

Getting geared up at the starting line

Lainey and her friend, Sydney, got to help the Mayor cut the ribbon at the starting line.

Dustin crossing the finish line with the girls.

Our Heath Family Team:
Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Jared, Aunt Courtney, Cousin Mackenzie, Cousin Alexis, and Cousin Eli. Thanks for coming!

The t-shirt table
Each walker who raises $100 is entitled to a shirt.

The raffle table
Shamae and I were in charge of collecting items, selling tickets, and manning the table. I was even nominated to call out the numbers for the winners. That'll get you out of your comfort zone real quick!
The official numbers aren't in, but I heard that our city raised close to $30,000!
