Today we met at the park for a JDRF Family Kickoff to promote the Walk in September. Lainey got to meet some people who had insulin pumps just like her. She thought that was pretty cool.

Manny brought sandwiches, donated from Subway, for us to eat. I met Manny last year at the Greenbelt, while he was at a booth promoting JDRF. He's the one who gave me the Walk info and got me started with my team and donations.
I didn't officially meet this cute family, but I'm sure I'll see them again this summer. The mom is trying to put together a Summer Camp for diabetic kids under 10 years of age.
I put together a cake walk for the kids to play. You can only do so much on the play ground, although Lainey could've swung on the swings the entire time.

Sounds like fun! We're totally going to do the walk with you this year. I don't know why we didn't last year, but we'll be hear this time!:) I'm excited.
